A short video practice about family bonding and the inborn connected mentality.
It is visually creepy and vibrant in rough red, but the underline meaning is the implacable intimacy of family members, who will hold their hands forever.

A way to show a styling in a 3D moving form like real catwalk in a studio. It is supposed to be a styling for a magazine that I work with but I’m sick with always photo shoot and showing a static clothing, so I create a scene, filming model walks in all directions and by using the movements, showing the real texture of the clothing and the forms of the clothes. And I would like to challenges the presentation form, from paper 2D, to a virtual space on you tube, which it severs even a bigger group of people from around. Same as the nature of a magazine.

An eye catching video practise echoes to the application of the video's theory, montage.
I was told to illustrated the use of montage skills in editing, but I guess other classmates would try hard using found footage to apply the theory, I just decided to fulfill the task, using editing skills and a few Photoshop’s RGB images, and record a sound from tearing candy wrap, because montage is something about break down and pair up.

A short video about eco-system and destroying the nature.
The images are once very pretty colorful ice cubes but slowly when it turns and they melt and become a splash of granite grey. It was a long take and edited.

This is another collaboration styling with painter/ collage artist Tore Cheung. I first have a studio shooting and then re-produce the images in photocopy machines. I then gives these materials to Tore, as a free jamming with him, there are rules set by me, which I would like them to be re-produced in photo copy machines copies, and he is allowed to do whatever he wanted to do. End up he do a series of collages with the images and added with some color which tell the original colors of the design. This is one of the most successful collaboration but it turns out never published.

The styling shoot is a collage of the photo clipping and the brand Wacko Maria. The brand ‘s design theme is about music in a chaotic, multi-angle inspired, but they are in a harmony. Therefore, the selection of the clippings is clam sceneries and they are distorted or break in pieces to echoes with each other.

This is by far, one of the best features, which I really found of. And this explains a good friendship of one of my character referee, Konwae Lin, an alumni of central saint martins. Konwae is a lover of vintage fashion, and he is a collector and shop owner at the same time. With his generosity, I have full range of different stages fashion from 1800's to the recently 80's. When selecting a place for the styling, I would like to find an empty house, which it consist of the element of time, but it is not restricted in any particular period, and using all the fashion pieces which is every era's representation, to fill the time gap of the house.

I was told to include some car and fashion in one styling shoot from boss, and both of us would like to avoid those normally seen images, which a pretty lady driving on a luxury car. And so i come up to using collage, so i can mix everything and blend it nicely! This is a huge collage of work and I have to process it in many stages. First photo shoot and direct the styling. And then grip images from newspaper and magazines, creating a huge pool of materials for the matching of the collage. I always love to challenges my work into different layers, 2D to 3D, 3D to 2D, it was because, anything appeared on printed matter are forms from 3D to 2D. The styling is an excellent practice since it is interesting and I presented them like a piece of art, even in the layout, it termed just like an art work catalogue.

This is another story for NIKE, which they launched a new series of clothing, named tech pack, which replies very much of technologies for sewing the garment. This is highly innovative and very advance level technology.

This is a media trip by Nike to Portland, OR and Beijing, China. I’m attending a preview of the 2008 collection as well as the technologies for the Olympic Game’s gear 2008 Beijing. In this trip, have the chance to meet with the legendary designer, Tinker Hatfield, who is the soul of all Nike major projects, say, the AIR technologies, the AIR MAX 90 and ACG.

This is another Happy Mothers’ year. In this feature stores, I hand picked some mothers whom are celebrity or someone famous to the world. The approach is different then the one I previously done, that one is completely normal, a mother of everyone, not this one. They know as a singer, artist, royal family etc, but they also a mother of a child, having different identity. We talk about how tough and strong they are, with the pretty and stunning portraits that I invited illustrator artist Casper to co-operate, the result is remarkable and we receive a wonderful message reply from one of the most respectful lady/ singer/ artist in Hong Kong, Rebecca Pan which I included in the feature, saying that she loves the words I wrote and the picture Casper drawn.
The opening picture was a written message from a mother on a book, which is a gift to her daughter. Somehow, i found it in a second hand bookstore, which i think it connected to this feature.
